CIFOR-ICRAF / GLF AFRICA

World Agroforestry (ICRAF) is a centre of scientific excellence that harnesses the benefits of trees for people and the environment. Founded in 1978, with headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, ICRAF is the only institution that does globally significant agroforestry research in and for all of the developing tropics. The knowledge produced enables governments, development agencies and farmers to use the power of trees to make farming and livelihoods more environmentally, socially and economically sustainable. 

Our partnership with CIFOR-ICRAF/ GLF Africa focuses on fostering innovative solutions in the realm of agricultural technology, enhancing the livelihoods of communities across Africa. Through empowering women in STEM, we drive significant impacts, reshaping agricultural and environmental sustainability contexts and ensuring technology serves a pivotal role in global environmental management.

Our aim is to  showcase the incredible potential of multidisciplinary collaboration by spotlighting powerful women's leadership and creative strategies. Emphasizing agricultural innovation and gender inclusivity, the partnership exemplifies how integrated approaches in science and technology can address complex environmental challenges and spur sustainable development on a global scale.
