Confession.
I thought this article would be easy to write.
I mean, how hard could it be?
A week in Geneva. The United Nations. Artificial intelligence. A few robots. Some Swiss chocolate.
Done.
Except… that’s not the story.
Not even close.
Because saying “Yes, I attended the AI for Good Summit and the inaugural UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance” is technically correct……
but it doesn’t even begin to explain what happened.
I could tell you about the hundreds of speakers.
The packed conference halls. The robots that seemed to attract more selfies than some of the keynote speakers.
The endless cups of coffee that somehow tasted better because they came with conversations about the future of humanity.
Or the fact that almost everywhere you turned, someone was discussing artificial intelligence in a language you didn’t understand but somehow, everyone was asking the exact same questions.
